Women in the Tuscaloosa area will have an opportunity to receive a free health and wellness check later this month through WAWC Healthcare.
WAWC Healthcare will host a Free Women’s Health Wellness Check with Dr. Keri Q. Chaney on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 8:30 a.m. to noon at its Tuscaloosa location, 3073 Palisades Court.
The wellness checks will focus on three areas of women’s health: reproductive health, maternal health, and mental and emotional wellness.
According to information provided by WAWC Healthcare, reproductive health services will include screenings, education and support. The maternal health portion will provide care, resources and guidance related to pregnancy and the postpartum journey, while the mental and emotional wellness portion will focus on supporting participants’ overall emotional well-being.
Each participant will also receive a wellness bag at the end of her appointment.
Appointments are free, but availability is limited to 10 slots. Registration is requested, although the event flyer notes that it is not required.
