Residents of Livingston and surrounding communities will once again have the opportunity to shop fresh and local as the Livingston Farmers Market opens for its summer season beginning Saturday, May 30.
The market will operate every Saturday through July 25, excluding July 4, from 8:00 a.m. until noon at 311 Lafayette Street in Livingston.
Organizers say the market will feature a variety of locally produced goods including fresh produce, honey, breads, and cookies. Some vendors will also accept Farmers Market cards, making fresh food more accessible to local families.
In addition to welcoming shoppers, the Livingston Farmers Market is currently seeking new vendors to participate in the seasonal event. Local farmers, bakers, and artisans are encouraged to join and showcase their products to the community.
Market Manager Lee Stanton said the event aims to support local agriculture and provide residents with access to fresh, homegrown products while fostering community connections.
Those interested in becoming a vendor or learning more about the market can contact Stanton at (205) 535-4709 or by email at lstanton@uwa.edu.
The market is expected to provide a lively weekend destination for residents looking to support local businesses and enjoy fresh seasonal foods throughout the summer.
