The Young Leaders Society of United Way of West Alabama will hold its third annual Family Fish Fry on Wednesday, June 3, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Cypress Inn Pavilion.
The community event will serve as a fundraiser for the organization’s emergency fund, which provides assistance to individuals and families facing urgent hardships, including those affected by natural disasters.
Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat fish fry buffet for $25, while children ages 10 and younger will be admitted free of charge. Tickets are available online at uwwa.org/family-fish-fry and will also be sold at the door.
According to United Way of West Alabama Community Relations Manager Austin Smithson, the fundraiser was created two years ago by members of the Young Leaders Society, a networking and volunteer organization for adults ages 21 to 45.
The Young Leaders Society regularly hosts networking events throughout West Alabama and supports various community initiatives through the United Way.
Funds raised during the Family Fish Fry will help strengthen the United Way of West Alabama’s emergency assistance efforts. The organization currently serves approximately one in four people across West Alabama.
