Sumter Central High School will celebrate Black History Month with a special program set for Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the SCHS Gym.
The event will feature guest appearances by Miss Kayla Finch and Gwendolyn Rogers. Finch, recognized for her connection to American Idol, and Rogers are expected to inspire students and attendees during the program.
School officials say the Black History Program aims to honor the legacy, achievements, and cultural contributions of African Americans while providing an engaging educational experience for the school community.
Students, faculty, and community members are invited to attend and participate in the celebration.
