The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has announced the addition of two new K9 teams, further enhancing the department’s law enforcement capabilities.
Deputy Stephenson and his K9 partner, along with Deputy Burnett and his K9 partner, have officially joined the agency. Both K9 units hold certifications in narcotics detection and tracking, skills that will support deputies in combating illegal drug activity and assisting in searches for missing individuals.
Sheriff’s officials say the new teams will serve as valuable assets during patrol operations and will help strengthen the department’s ongoing commitment to protecting the community.
The Sheriff’s Office noted that the K9 additions were made possible through the generosity of anonymous donors who funded the initiative. Officials expressed appreciation for the support, emphasizing that community partnerships continue to play an important role in expanding public safety resources across Pickens County.
