Livestock and forage producers from across Alabama are invited to attend the 2026 Beef & Forage Field Day on Friday, October 16, at the Blackbelt Research & Extension Center in Marion Junction.
The free educational event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will give producers an opportunity to see hands-on demonstrations, learn about current research, and hear directly from Extension specialists about practices that can be applied to their own operations.
The Beef & Forage Field Day is an annual statewide program designed to provide practical information for Alabama’s livestock and forage industries. Topics will focus on forage management, current research, and farming techniques that can help producers maintain productive and sustainable operations.
By bringing research into the field, the program allows participants to see management strategies in action and ask questions of specialists. The event also provides an opportunity for producers to connect with other members of Alabama’s agricultural community and discuss challenges and opportunities affecting beef and forage production.
The field day will be held at the Blackbelt Research & Extension Center, 60 County Road 944, Marion Junction, AL 36759.
