Singles across West Alabama will have a chance to take the stage, make a connection and support a meaningful community cause this September as contestant applications open for The Dating Game, presented by the Young Leaders Society of United Way of West Alabama.
The live Dating Game-style event will take place Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Cypress Inn Pavilion.
Organizers are currently seeking fun, eligible singles willing to take a chance on finding a match in front of a live audience. Selected contestants will compete for a date with one of the event’s featured bachelors or bachelorettes.
Adding to the anticipation, the identities of the selected contestants will remain a secret until the event. Organizers will not announce who has been chosen in advance, meaning guests will have to attend to see who ultimately takes the stage.
Those interested in participating can submit a contestant application through the event’s online application form. Friends and family members are also encouraged to share the opportunity with eligible singles they think would be a great fit for the show.
Beyond the matchmaking and entertainment, The Dating Game will support an important local mission. Proceeds will benefit the United Way of West Alabama Emergency Fund, which provides critical assistance to individuals and families in the community when unexpected emergencies arise.
The event combines an evening of lighthearted entertainment with an opportunity to support neighbors facing difficult circumstances.
