The City of Moundville is encouraging residents to attend the upcoming City Council meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Moundville City Hall, where council members will discuss a variety of community matters and hear public input.
City officials emphasize that an informed community is a stronger community and invite residents to stay engaged in local government by attending council meetings and learning about issues that impact the city.
The agenda includes several items of new business, including a presentation from engineer Draper McMillan of McGiffert and Associates, LLC, a citizen request regarding a proposed ban on outdoor balloon releases within city limits, and discussion of a participation agreement with the Municipal Workers Compensation Fund, Inc.
Council members are also expected to discuss matters related to the local farmer’s market, training expenses, and the purchase of new mowing equipment for city operations. Department heads will provide updates on city activities, followed by an opportunity for public comments.
In addition to new business, the council will consider approval of the minutes from the June 22, 2026, regular council meeting and review city bills.
Mayor and council leaders encourage all residents to attend and participate in the meeting process.
“Community involvement is essential to the continued growth and success of Moundville,” city officials said. “We welcome residents to attend, stay informed, and share their perspectives on issues affecting our community.”
