A flavorful community event is set to bring people together for a good cause as the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter hosts its upcoming “Claws, Paws, & Craws” Charity Crawfish Boil.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 2, from noon to 4 p.m., offering attendees a chance to enjoy a classic Southern crawfish boil while directly supporting local animal care efforts.
Guests can purchase plates for $20, which includes a drink, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the shelter. The fundraiser aims to help provide essential resources for animals in need, including food, medical care, and shelter services.
In addition to crawfish, hot dogs and hamburgers will also be available, giving attendees a variety of options to enjoy. Food will be provided with support from local contributors, adding a community-driven touch to the event.
Organizers say the event is designed to be both fun and impactful—bringing together food, fellowship, and philanthropy under one cause: supporting animals in the Tuscaloosa area.
Residents are encouraged to come out, enjoy good food, and make a difference in the lives of local pets waiting for homes.
