Residents in West Alabama will have the opportunity to explore their creativity this spring as Shelton State Community College prepares to host a hands-on textured painting class.
The class is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the college’s Martin Campus, inside Room 1943. Participants are asked to enter through the Fine Arts/Theatre doors.
Designed for both beginners and experienced artists, the class will focus on creating artwork using texture techniques—allowing attendees to experiment with depth, layering, and unique artistic expression.
The cost to attend is $55, making it an accessible option for those looking to try something new, build artistic skills, or simply enjoy a creative afternoon.
Shelton State’s continuing education programs often provide opportunities like this to bring the community together through learning and creativity, offering hands-on experiences that go beyond the traditional classroom.
