Everyone is always in the mood for a sweet treat. The Blue Pop Shop, founded by Demario Owens in Aliceville, Alabama is serving up just that. Homemade Italian ice, shaved ice and more is being served by Demario with the help of his wife, Jade. The Blue Pop Shop is mobile and always traveling for events across Aliceville, Tuscaloosa, Macon, and many other surrounding areas.
What made you get into this business?
I started a clothing business in 2015 and eventually realized that I wanted something that I could build a legacy from and have full ownership with. I started in 2017 with my wife. This business is resession proof. You don’t have to worry about if people are going to buy ice cream.
What have you loved most since starting?
Making people smile and getting them to taste my products and appreciate the good quality. Blue raspberry mango is the most popular.
What is something that you would like all of your customers and supporters to know?
To build something to and inspire somebody. Put faith in God and it will all work out.
