The Hale County Sheriff’s Office is giving residents an opportunity to learn potentially life-saving skills through a free CPR training class later this month.
The Citizens CPR Training class is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Hale County Courthouse. The program is being offered at no cost to participants.
The training is designed to teach residents CPR skills that can be used during emergencies when someone experiences cardiac arrest or stops breathing. Knowing how to perform CPR can help bystanders provide immediate assistance while emergency medical personnel are on the way.
According to the event announcement from Sheriff Michael Hamilton and the Hale County Sheriff’s Office, participants will also receive a free certificate after completing the training.
Residents interested in attending are asked to sign up in advance. Registration is available by emailing clerk@halecoso.com or calling (334) 624-3081.
The class is part of an effort to equip community members with practical skills that could make a critical difference during an emergency.
Event details: Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at 6 p.m., Hale County Courthouse. The class is free and open to residents who register.
