Individuals interested in serving as substitute employees for the Hale County School System will have an opportunity to learn about the process during an upcoming Substitute Training Workshop hosted by the Hale County Board of Education.
The required training will take place Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Hale County College & Career Academy.
School officials say the workshop is mandatory for anyone interested in becoming a substitute during the upcoming school year. The training is open to prospective substitutes in all areas of the school system, including classroom instruction, school nursing, Child Nutrition Program (CNP), transportation, custodial services, and other support positions.
Participants will receive information about the expectations, responsibilities, and qualifications needed to serve as substitute personnel within the district.
“We’re looking for dedicated individuals who are interested in supporting our schools and students,” the district said in its announcement. “This workshop is the first step for those who want to become part of our substitute team.”
Anyone planning to substitute for the Hale County School System must attend the workshop.
