Residents of Sumter County and surrounding communities are invited to attend “Let’s Talk About It: A Community Health Discussion” on Tuesday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at the Sumter County OnMed CareStation in Gainesville.
The free event will focus on understanding high blood pressure and creating open conversations around heart health, prevention, and wellness resources available within the community.
Organizers say the discussion is designed to give attendees an opportunity to ask questions, learn practical ways to reduce and manage high blood pressure, and gain access to tools and resources that can help improve overall health.
The event will be held at the Sumter County OnMed CareStation, located at 9380 State Street in Gainesville.
Community members are encouraged to attend whether they are currently managing high blood pressure, seeking more information, or simply interested in learning more about maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
The discussion is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.
The event is being supported by the West Alabama Cardiac Health Program, Alabama A&M and Auburn Universities Extension Sumter County, and the Sumter County Community Health & Wellness Center.
