Residents in and around Livingston are being encouraged to roll up their sleeves and take part in a community-wide cleanup effort later this month.
The “Let’s Clean Up Livingston” event is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2026, and will bring volunteers together to help beautify the city and surrounding areas. Organizers say the initiative is aimed at promoting community pride while addressing litter and environmental concerns across Livingston.
Participants will meet at the Blackbelt Museum in downtown Livingston, located at 249 South Washington Street, where volunteers will be assigned cleanup areas. To make participation more convenient, a shuttle service will be available to transport volunteers to and from designated cleanup sites.
Cleanup times are set for 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m., giving residents multiple opportunities throughout the day to get involved.
All necessary supplies will be provided, including gloves, safety vests, grabbers, and trash bags, ensuring volunteers have everything they need to safely participate.
Community leaders hope the event will not only improve the appearance of the area but also inspire ongoing efforts to keep Livingston clean.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in making a visible difference in their community.
