The University Charter School is stepping up to support its youngest learners through a community-wide school supply drive led by its second-grade class.
The initiative aims to raise money and collect essential school supplies for all kindergarten through third-grade students, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom—completely free of charge.
Organizers say the drive is not only about supplies, but also about teaching students the value of service and giving back. By involving second graders in the effort, the school is helping instill leadership and community responsibility at an early age.
Community members are encouraged to contribute by donating supplies or making monetary contributions through the campaign’s QR code.
“This effort is about making sure every student starts with what they need,” organizers noted. “When students are equipped, they’re more confident and ready to learn.”
