The Black Belt Community Foundation is inviting nonprofit leaders and community organizations to participate in its upcoming Community Grantseekers Workshop, a virtual training designed to guide applicants through the foundation’s Arts & Community Grant process.
The workshops are mandatory for new organizations applying for the first time, while previous BBCF grantees are not required to attend. The sessions will walk participants through the full grant application process, including eligibility requirements, proposal development, and best practices for submitting a strong and competitive application.
According to the foundation, the workshops are designed to help applicants better understand the BBCF grant process, learn how to write a compelling application, and successfully submit grant materials.
Two workshop dates are scheduled in January, with multiple time options available:
Tuesday, January 20 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m. Thursday, January 22 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. 7:00 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.
All workshops will be held virtually, and registration is required to attend. Participation in at least one Grantseekers Workshop is required for first-time applicants before submitting a grant proposal.
Organizations interested in applying for an Arts & Community Grant or learning more about future grant learning sessions can find additional information and registration links at blackbeltfound.org/grants.
The Black Belt Community Foundation works to support community-led solutions by helping organizations leverage local resources to meet the needs of Alabama’s Black Belt region.
REMINDER: New organizations that have not previously applied for BBCF arts or community grants are required to attend a Grantseekers Workshop prior to submitting an application. Returning grantees may apply directly through the online grants portal. These Zoom sessions are scheduled for January 20 and 22, 2026, with both days offering the convenience of an early afternoon session at 12pm and an evening session at 7pm (CENTRAL TIMES).
