A West Alabama man has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash that occurred late last month outside Northport, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said the wreck happened on the afternoon of Monday, October 27. Shaun Pearson, 60, of Sulligent, was driving a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe when the vehicle left Alabama Highway 171 near Fernwood Drive and overturned. The crash site was roughly seven miles northwest of the Northport city limits in Tuscaloosa County.
Pearson was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment but succumbed to his injuries weeks later, on Friday, November 14.
State Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional information has been released.
