Community members from across the region are invited to come together for a day of unity, awareness, and fellowship at the upcoming Trail Riders Against Gun Violence Community Unity Ride & Family Event, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026.
The event will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Black Rock Field, 5904 U.S. Highway 11, Cuba, Alabama 36907. Organizers say the gathering aims to promote peace, strengthen communities, and raise awareness about the impact of gun violence.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities, including a horse trail ride, ATV and four-wheeler rides, live music and entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. The event is open to riders and non-riders alike, with organizers encouraging families to attend and take part in the day’s message of unity and safety.
The theme of the event, “Riding for Peace, Unity, and Safer Communities,” reflects the organization’s mission to bring people together through positive community engagement. Promotional materials emphasize the message, “Ride Together. Stand Together. Make a Difference.”
Organizers hope the event will serve as a platform for community awareness while fostering conversations about violence prevention and public safety. The gathering is free to attend and welcomes people of all ages.
The event is sponsored by Black Rock, Daimya Lake Atkins, and Damian L. Atkins.
